ATHLETE CODE OF CONDUCT

 

 

As members of the Alberta Masters Ski Club (the “Club”) we are members of a unique and exceptional club.   Our goal is to consistently provide best and safest possible alpine ski racing training experience within the resources available to the club.  If you choose to be a member of this club, there are expectations for conduct and behavior that are not optional.   

 

As a member of this club it is expected that you will:

  • Represent yourself, the sport of alpine skiing, and the club with the highest level of integrity, sportsmanship and self-control during all club activities including training, racing, traveling, social activities and meetings;  
  • Show consideration for others, the utmost respect for coaches, and appreciation for the ski areas that support our activities;
  • Abide by the Skiers Responsibility Code at all times - athlete well-being and safety will take priority over all other considerations;
  • Accept responsibility for creating and maintaining a positive, safe and professional training experience. Under the direction of the coach or a member of the Board of Directors for the club, athletes are responsible for the work of transporting equipment, assisting in course set-up, preparation, maintenance and take-down, as well as ensuring all equipment is accounted for at the end of a session; and
  • Make sure that all fees and obligations are up to date.

 

Your participating as a member of the Alberta Masters Ski Club is a privilege.  The privilege of participation is afforded you through paid fees and your contributions to support activities of the club on and off the hill.  Violations of this code of conduct will result in disciplinary action by the Board of Directors for the club and may include revoking your privilege of participation in the club without any refund of fees.
